Mist your way to refreshed, shine-free skin

Mist your way to refreshed, shine-free skin

Facial mists are a must for me, which is why I have bottles in my bathrooms, on my desk and in my handbag (at all times). These products offer instant relief from Florida’s heat and humidity while giving my complexion’s dewiness a reboot, but what if I had oily skin and mid-day shine was a concern of mine? At first I felt sad that this skincare essential couldn’t be enjoyed by everyone, but then I came across La Roche-Posay’s Serozinc Mattifying Facial Toner Spray for Oily Skin suddenly all was good in the world again.

So, yes, this mist is technically designed to be used after cleansing and before moisturizing, to minimize oil and leave skin with a soft matte finish, but we all need to break the rules from time to time, right? Outside of your morning and evening skincare regimens, give yourself a spritz when your skin feels a bit greasy—and don’t worry about your makeup because the mist is super-fine so it doesn’t make your skin sopping wet. If your face is still a bit damp after a minute or two, you can blot away excess by placing a tissue on your face and gently pressing it to absorb any lingering mist. And just like that, your skin is refreshed and shine-free and your makeup should still be where you put it.

So there’s officially a facial mist for every type of skin, and once you start using one, I bet you’ll never stop!
