Even more Glossier goodies to love

Even more Glossier goodies to love

I think I’ve tried something from just about every Glossier category (makeup, skincare, fragrance) but I never delved into the Body Hero line. The body wash or body cream never really spoke to me—but that all changed when two new products were added to the lineup last week. I’ve been on a body oil kick lately (because I feel like it saves time by letting me slap it on before I even get out of the shower), and the exfoliating body bar looked like a great alternative to the shower gel and exfoliating mitt I usually use.

When the Body Hero Exfoliating Bar and Dry-Touch Oil Mist arrived earlier this week, I couldn’t wait to hop in the shower—and this dynamic duo definitely elevated my bathing experience. Basically a body scrub in a less messy form, the signature pink bar serves up moisture, suds and gentle exfoliation with bamboo powder in one fell swoop. The best part is that I can get soft, smooth, supple skin from head to toe without having to clean the shower floor afterwards.

The oil has a well-designed spray top that allows you to mist the oil directly on your body (as opposed to into your hand) and the subtle neroli-driven scent is divine. The ultra-light blend of sunflower seed, grapeseed and oat oils (who when there was such a thing?) absorbs quickly and leaves skin glistening, and there’s no need to wait even a second before getting dressed.

This product combo has quickly become a highlight of my day, and I totally notice a difference in the look and feel of my skin. I’m also happy to report that the oil does not leave even a trace of greasiness where my forearms lie on my desk while typing, which is essentially how I judge body oils at this point (since I don’t need another mess to clean up).
