Jonesing for a new makeup look?

Jonesing for a new makeup look?

Every once in a while I feel the urge to give my makeup drawer a little pick-me-up—and that moment is happening right now. The timing actually couldn’t be better thanks to an endless supply of holiday kits, and I have my eye on “Bobbi’s Gift Edit” from Jones Road.

ICYMI, Bobbi Brown sold her eponymous brand to Esteé Lauder in 1995, and she was off the makeup radar (I’m assuming due to a non-compete clause in her contract) until she launched Jones Road a little over a year ago. Her new endeavor has the same tightly-edited feel as her first, and I’m happy to report Bobbi is still all about a less-is-more approach to makeup focusing on easy-to-use, finger-friendly, “clean” formulas.

The highlight (no pun intended) is the Miracle Balm. I’ve been obsessed with this magical soft-focus, light-reflecting balm since I first laid eyes on it. You can use it alone for a fresh-faced glow, or over foundation for a beautiful boost.

To complete the full oh-so-natural look, you get the Just A Sec Eye Tint in “Golden Peach,” The Best Eyeshadow in “Dark Brown,” The Best Pencil in “Black, the Cool Gloss in “Original” (clear) and a use-anywhere (i.e. face, body and hair) hydrating Hippie Stick.

The best part: These are all “basics” that everyone should have on hand, and they are guaranteed to play nicely with all the makeup you already have!
