Celebrity hairstylists have become celebrities in their own right, and we can thank social media for that. Glam squads have historically stayed behind the scenes, but these days its commonplace to see these professionals in front of the camera alongside their boldfaced clientele. If a Kardashian gives credit to their beauty pro du jour, millions of people are seeing it—so the next logical step is capitalizing on this fame with a line of products.
Sally Hershberger launched her 24K line just a few months ago, and now Hollywood favorite Jen Atkin has introduced OUAI (pronounced “way”), and beauty insiders—and celebrities—are buzzing. Comprised of 16 SKUs that span the spectrum from shampoos and conditioners to styling products and treatments, the sleek modern packaging is certainly a draw, and many of the offerings are already sold out! I have my eye on the Treatment Masque (which comes in single-serving packets) and the Hair Oil, but naturally I’d give any of the products a try.
