When I was in New York a few weeks ago, I spent the most glorious day with my bestie, Loren. We hit the new Whitney, lunched at Café Cluny (next to Julianne Moore), had Bloody Marys at The Standard and, of course, shopped. I had every intention of heading uptown to “refresh” before meeting my cousins for drinks, but alas, the day got away from me so we popped into the NARS flagship on Bleecker Street for a touch-up—so naturally I had to purchase a few items.
After falling in love with the Dual-Intensity Eyeshadow in the beautiful bronze “Telesto” shade, I felt the need for a lighter color to round out the look. “Himalia” fits the bill perfectly, and I’m putting this on par with Stila “Kitten,” which has been a go-to over and over again for the past two decades.
Believe it or not, my lipstick wardrobe was missing a deep, brick red—and the Semi Matte Lipstick in “413 BLKR” is absolutely divine. Exclusive to the West Village store (and online), the color is so rich, and although matte it’s not drying—and it sticks around for hours.
I’ve only been home for 10 days but it feels like my trip was months ago… At least I have these beauty souvenirs to remind me of the great time I had, and hopefully they’ll hold me over until the next time I go back!
