My favorite part about monthly sampling boxes is getting to try products that I wouldn’t ordinarily purchase (or use unless they’re sent to me for review). I did Birchbox for a while before moving on to Glossybox, and I thank my lucky stars that Benefit’s They’re Real! Mascara was included in one of my deliveries a few months ago.
Now I’m not usually that particular about my mascara as long as it lengthens and separates my lashes without getting clumpy, and my drawer is stocked with quite a few ranging from CoverGirl Lash Blast Clump Crusher (my budget fave) to Tom Ford Extreme Mascara (my splurge). But this one from Benefit blew me away. The unique brush reaches each and every lash to deliver thickening, lengthening and separating along with major lift and curl. The super-black formula also stays put, so there’s no flaking or smudging throughout the day. And where most traditional mascara wands are flat on the end, this one has extra bristles that let you get those lashes at the very end, too. In a nutshell, it’s a winner!
