IBB Routine Revamp: Undereye concealer

I think we all would like more sleep—and less obvious dark undereye circles. This discoloration is more of an issue for me than bags or puffiness, and until recently I’ve managed to keep the telltale signs on being a working mom to a young child under wraps. Garnier’s BB Eye Miracle Skin Perfector has been my go-to for quite some time, but recently I’ve found myself wanting (or needing) to kick things up a notch.

So in an effort to get a brief respite from the aforementioned child last weekend, I headed over to Target, and found myself persusing the makeup aisles for an amped-up undereye concealer. (Truth be told, I asked my beauty editor bestie if she though the $70 Cle de Peau concealer was worth it and she said no.) Then, after taking my sweet time checking EVERYTHING out, I headed home with two new products in tow.

Laneige caught my attention quite some time ago with their BB cushion compact, but I never actually bought it because it was sold out every time I went to my Target, and I didn’t feel comfortable buying online without getting a first-hand look at the shades. (Since then, I’ve seen more positive reviews of the Water Sleeping Mask than I can count.) I would up getting the Cushion Concealer and I absolutely love it. The applicator is beyond. Soft, puffy and pretty precise it doesn’t go on too heavy or too light. The click-pen eliminates any threat of leakage if I throw it in my bag for mid-day touchups, and it never looks thick or cakey. And with SPF 30, I give it an A+.

I also picked up Neutrogena’s Healthy Skin Brightening Eye Perfector Broad Spectrum SPF 25 and I’m a big fan of this one as well. This one has a click-brish applicator that definitely gets the job done, but it tends to come out a bit heavier. It’s really creamy which makes it easy to blend and the coverage doesn’t disappoint. My grade: B.

I’m open to more suggestions, so tell me… What’s your favorite undereye concealer?
