The scent of summer in a bottle

I’m a bit of a fragrance whore (Case in point: This photo of my perfume tray), and my selections fall into a few categories. There are the ones that I’ve purchased multiple times (Tom Ford Private Blend Neroli Portofino, L’Artisan Parfumeur Bois Farine, Creed Millesime Imperial), the ones I have very intense yet short flings with (Sara Horowitz Perfect Nectar, Kai) and the ones I know I’ll continue to go back to for the rest of my life (Hermes Eau des Merveilles, Chanel Bois des Iles).

We never know when we’re going to fall in love (or with whom), and this past week I fell hard for Smell Bent’s St. Tropez Dispenser. I received this as part of my monthly Olfactif delivery, and if you’re even remotely obsessed with fragrance, this is the best $18 a month you’ll ever spend. You get 3 nicely sized samples—plus a code for $18 off the purchase price each month—and I’ve met most of my flings this way.

Olfactif billed St. Tropez Dispenser as “pure beachy perfection,” and I couldn’t have said it better myself. It’s essentially all the best notes of that sunscreen-y scent we’re all inherently drawn to, thanks to a blend of jasmine (which I don’t ordinarily like), coconut, aloe and a bit of musk—and I cannot get enough. I am 100% purchasing a full-size bottle, and at $45, I’ll have absolutely no regrets. So ladies, there’s still plenty of summer left, and you know you want to make the most of it. I promise the only downside of this scent is its slight inappropriateness when fall ultimately arrives…
