Fly high with this new makeup line

I’m a sucker for great branding, and you have to be really creative to make a line of makeup stand out from the pack. This is definitely the case with Uslu Airlines (the brainchild of a Turkish makeup artist and German entrepreneur), which melds on-trend colors with fabulous formulations.

The first thing you’ll notice: Each and every product is named after an airport, and carries the three-letter abbreviation. Some you’ll know, some you won’t, so these cosmetics serve as an educational tool as well. At the moment, the line consists of airbrush makeup for the entire face (think foundation, blush, eyeshadow, etc.) plus lipsticks, glosses and nail polish. Until now, you could only find these goodies in destinations like Colette Paris and other uber-selective stockists in Europe and Asia. But buckle your seatbelts because Uslu has arrived on our shores, and everyone can get their hands on these super-cool cosmetics at Net-A-Porter.com!

I’m absolutely in love with the “BIR” lipstick (which is the Biratnagar Nepal airport, in case you didn’t know), and I have the perfect pale pink “TDK” (Taldy-Kurgan, Kazakhstan) and gray-blue “NIM” (Niamey, Niger) on deck for my next manicures. And the crimson “KBJ” (Kings Canyon, Australia) is my pick for my next pedicure.

The only question is, where do you want to go today?
