It took a few tries to get the hang of it, and I found it’s important to warm the product between your hands before smoothing onto your strands. You really have to wash your hands after applying it as well, or you’ll find that everything you touch literally turns to gold. Oribe also recommends using the product to slick back wet hair and leave it with a gorgeous gilded finish—but I haven’t gotten around to this just yet. Yes, this pomade helps smooth your strands, but it’s really more about enhancing the look of your hair as opposed to the feel. I also I gave my mom a dollop to try since she had asked me about it a while back. She’s a fan, too, and trust me, she’s hard to please!
